Today, October 25, 2025, our school, St. Xavier’s School, organized an Inter-House Marathon Race Competition. The objective of this event was to promote physical health, endurance, and sportsmanship among students.
The competition began with the Principal, Dr. Ena Banerjee, flagging off the race. Approximately 200 students participated in the event, which was open to students from Class 6 to 12. The 5-kilometer marathon started from the school premises, covered the main roads of the city, and ended back at the school.
In the junior category, the top three positions were secured by:
– Pooja (Class 8, Wordsworth House) – First
– Shubhoi (Class 6, Wordsworth House) – Second
– Yana (Class 8, Wordsworth House) – Third
Among junior boys:
– Afaan (Class 8A, Tennyson House) – First
– Tejas (Class 8B, Milton House) – Second
– Prince (Class 8B, Tennyson House) and Abhishek (Class 8A, Spencer House) – Third
In the senior category, the top positions were secured by:
– Senior Girls: Vedika (Class 11A, Wordsworth House) – First, Aasna (Class 10B, Milton House) – Second, and Afika (Class 10A, Milton House) – Third
– Senior Boys: Sachin (Class 12B, Wordsworth House) – First, Prashant (Class 12A, Tennyson House) – Second, and Sarthak (Class 12B, Spencer House) – Third
The winners were awarded trophies and certificates. The Principal, Dr.. Ena Banerjee, congratulated the students and emphasized the importance of such events in developing discipline, hard work, and teamwork.
The event concluded with a resolve from the teachers and students to make the next year’s event even more spectacular.
